MLO Reflective Narrative
I attained the requirements for MLO 4 during Pre-Capstone and Capstone. We learned how to use data bases as well as using spreadsheets to look for and gather data for presentational purposes. The most challenging part was trying to find credible sources in Japanese as there were a lot of unknown kanji and having to filter through which sources were actually applicable to my studies. We also had to create a survey to help gather our data, one in English and one in Japanese, in order to create and present our findings. Most Japanese-taught courses such as JAPN 395 and JAPN 420 required multiple presentations done through Google slides, which helped fulfill MLO 4. Another class that also helped fulfill this was JAPN 311 as we had to make our final research paper on the topic of a current social problem in Japan. In the future, I would like to expand my use and knowledge of different tools online to help me find information with ease as well as create a more captivating presentation.
