JAPN 403: Pre-Capstone
Course Description:
This course aims to develop an advanced level of academic communication through the formulation of research questions on linguistic and cultural topics, using appropriate research methods and critical thinking skills. Students utilize a variety of information sources to investigate, organize, and analyze the information. Taught in Japanese.
Reflective Narrative:
This was a readiness course to help us prepare for our Pre-Capstone class. This course fulfills MLO 4: Research as we had to do extensive research for a topic we wanted to work on for our capstone. We went over how to form research and survey questions. We utilized the library's OneSearch function to look for information as well as craft a powerpoint to present our ideas to the class. I had already prepared prior for this class by asking another peer if they would be my partner, who was Alyssa Powell. We both collaborated and worked towards forming parts of our capstone project.
