JAPN 404: Advanced JAPN Presentation for Presentational Communication
Course Description:
This course aims to develop an advanced level of academic communication to finalize research projects using appropriate research methods. Students analyze and synthesize their research findings to orally present and to write academic papers using APA style. This course is a companion course for WLC 400 (Major Capstone). Taught in Japanese.
Course Narrative:
This course taught me incredibly helpful and beneficial content that aided me for Capstone. It enabled me to write in a presentational, professional, and educational way. We were given resources to learn formal termonology and grammar. We applied this knowledge to our Capstone paper, presentation, and scripts. This course fulfilled MLO 1 as it was taught in Japanese. Compared to previous courses, I feel a lot more confident with creating formal presentations in Japanese. I noticed during my other classes this term, my slides have been a lot stronger compared to my beginning Japanese courses. I hope to be able to be able to gain a level of fluency to allow me to make points a bit more concise while also keeping the important details only.
