Course Description:
This course continues to develop advanced level Japanese competency through further acquisition of Japanese cultural knowledge on a variety of fields and disciplines in content-based instruction. Taught in Japanese.
Course Narrative:
In this course we were able to communicate and present different topics in Japanese. We also demonstrated different customs and practices as well as presenting on them. For example, we went over ochaji (tea ceremonies), ukiyoe (woodblock paintings) and manga, and food. Throughout this course we practices many different kanji each week and utilized them within the topic to gain a more fluent understanding behind the respective topic. We also had to create various presentations where we were only allowed to input key terms as our script on the slides.
